While death continues to plague me, I am recognizing the freedom that it can provide. Despite the uncertainty surrounding death, I can see that life imprisons our souls, and that only in death can we truly become detached from the burdens of this world. I look forward to this release, yet I still am afraid of letting go of all that I have grown accustomed to. I am scared to abandon the...

today
woke up around 9 had apple cider vinegar and an apple then headed to the gym with A and C elliptical for 30 then machines for 30, then crunches. came back, took a shower and straightened my hair. I was def feeling a lot better. Walked all the way to bluebird with the usual— had rocket salad, focaccia and tomato and fennel soup. rocket salad was SO good and the focaccia had the amazing...
Sunday-Arrive in Athens
Sunday morning, we left London bright and early around 9am. The drive to the airport was less than enjoyable.. the coach driver was quite obnoxious with his music selections. I spent the time in the airport in bookstores, reading and, of course, eating. I sat with Jen Chen as I like to call her, and the voss. It wasn’t too bad of a flight—read Scar Tissue the whole time pretty much....
my liffeee
London is continuing to amaze me. I am still happy, loving it here and can’t wait to explore more. I feel like there is so much to see and do and I haven’t even touched the surface of it. I need to make more time to take advantage of the city I am LIVING in and really get a lot out of it. I feel like I spend too much time in routine just doing the same things and I need to get out and...

my parents are truly amazing.
most of the people that are important to me are...
keep on keeping in the sunlight..
I have to say, I am proud of myself. I don’t know if it is the simplicity of my classes, the people I am around, or truly a change within myself, but I am doing really well at letting my life flow by without worrying or planning too extensively. As I have mentioned before, I am an avid planner and a huge worrier… neither of which seems to help much. So this year, I have taken it upon...

HISTORY 390:
This is my upper-division History class that is about the Middle East and its politics, wars, history (of course), religion, and current events. We have already learned a ton and I feel much more informed about everything going on there. It is a very relevant class to my generation especially because most of the Middle Eastern issues that involve...
flying
Today for some reason I have been thinking about flying a lot and how much I miss taking lessons or even just going with my dad. There is something so amazing about the sky and being in control moving through the sky that just makes me feel so free. I miss that SO much. and I miss my dad.
last day in Munich
München. What a great place. We definitely had a fabulous time. The last day, though, was a little rough for me. Carson and I woke up around 6am for no reason at all, laid in bed for a couple of hours and recapped the day before, laughing uncontrollably all the while. The moment I sat up, I realized I was a little more hungover than I previously thought. Horrible, horrible headache, dying of...
Oktoberfest day 2
Carson and I woke up around 11, got ready and headed to the festival. The first thing we did upon arrival was get on this ride called the star flyer because it is really high and we wanted to take pictures. So as we were up on this ride, we had an amazing view of all of the festival. There were people EVERYWHERE and you could barely see the ground. We realized how huge the beer tents really...
Oktoberfest
Day 1:
woke up around 9, ate some breakfast, got my shit together and chilled until I left for the airport. Took the tube to Heathrow—VERY simple. 1 hour flight to Munich was surprisingly miserable with the two Irishmen yelling on my left and calling me “lovely”. fell asleep for a few minutes, then was woken up by the yelling. eventually arrived in Munich.. somehow figured out...
it's a charmed life
since I’ve last legitimately updated, I have done SO much. I went to Munich for Oktoberfest (as is evident below) which was phenomenal to say the least, had an amazing night with delicious bellini’s at Cipriani and done some good shopping at whole foods. I feel guilty for the laziness regarding my updates, but I guess it is just a sign of how busy I have been. I have noticed lately...
travel journal
I need to start a travel journal.. starting with my trip to Munich. I want to remember all of the amazing places I travel to. So far I will be going to: Greece (again), Lausanne, Montalcino, Paris (again as well), Berlin, Cairo, Barcelona (hopefully—if it doesn’t fall through), Amsterdam, Venice, Milan and probably more. I want to use one of the moleskines I just bought when I bought...

amazing friends
I have been thinking a lot lately about how I was so blessed in high school with THE MOST amazing friends. We all loved each other, got a long really well, never had drama, and had such a fun time… and definitely got rowdy. I miss them all so much. Especially Josephine and Becca. They are the rowdiest with me. Below is a picture of Josephine, Becca, me and Nealy Stuckey in London last...
my dreams
Okay, I just have to talk about this it was too weird.
Last night I had a dream that I was able to watch myself from a previous time in my life and it was very enlightening and I was just sitting there watching myself go through all of these things that I had gone through a couple of years ago. The strangest part of it all was that when I woke up, I realized that I wasn’t really watching...
today
today was a great day. I woke up around 7:30 for class and ate breakfast then I went to my modern drama class and discussed harold pinter. then I had an hour break in which my friend azzurra and I searched the kitchen for something substantial for lunch then proceeded to go to our art class. we then went to class where we discussed the paintings from our previous class and then went (once again)...

everything is becoming one.
I am starting to feel much more settled in here. I like the friends that I am making, and am not really worried about much at the moment other than spending too much money. I got to talk to an old boyfriend, my mom, my dad and miranda on the phone today and that was really good. it felt really productive. I have class super early tomorrow, ugh.. sleep is never quite long enough. I am proud of...

my life is amazing.
Yesterday I went shopping on Oxford St. It was extremely crowded and ridiculous. I went to topshop, and I could barely move because there were SO many people. Then we came back to the house and got ready and took the tube to wembley stadium. we took shots of vodka on the way in and then pushed our way through the crowd and towards the stage and ended up getting really close! Jay-z was so good and...
my night.
after a long day at stonehenge and salisbury, not a lot of people wanted to go out except for one of my friends and me. and so we were going to go to this bar but it was like impossible to find so basically we were wandering around london, lost, for like 2 hours and it was quite unfortunate because we couldn’t even find a bus that would take us home. but we ended up finding one, and then we...

rainy day in london
I’m sitting on the bus on the way to the national gallery for my art class. i love the rainy weather and the gloominess of the clouds outside. I am excited to see the art and my professor, Rachel Barnes, is supposedly an amzing professor and world-renowned art critic. I am very excited to hear what she has to say. Class ends at two and then I have nothing until dinner at six. We’re...

as it continues..
not much has changed since my last post, but as of now I am done with my first day of class. The class I had today was called the history of the modern middle east. my professor is irish and very very cool. he is fluent in arabic and got his degree from oxford and I can’t remember where he went to school after that. He said that the class would be the most challenging class we would ever...
whirlwind
London is fab. we went out last night around 9:30 to this pub called hoop and toy. I had white wine spritzer to be low calorie of course. and then we hopped on the tube and went to piccadilly which is like this really touristy area and went to this club called cafe de paris because Azzurra and Carson and Azzurra’s friend from boarding school told us to meet them there. So the people we were...
